As Donald Trump‘s fate still remains unknown, Stephen King has shared what he thinks should happen to the former president once the ongoing investigation comes to an end. And apparently, he’s been waiting a long time to say this and believes that now is the perfect time to say it.

King posted on Twitter, advocating that Trump should be locked up for his crimes. The author believes that he should have been locked up since 2016, the year he was elected president. It’s no secret that King hasn’t been a fan of Trump’s since he became president and believes that he should pay for his crimes.

King has been very vocal lately on social media as the former president has been facing investigations. He constantly shows disdain for Trump’s past actions, and described the former president as “a sociopath” and “a criminal”. His newest tweet garnered a mixed response from his followers. Some agreed that Trump should be arrested, while others believe that Trump will get away with it as always.

Trump is currently being investigated due to allegations of hush-money payments to former adult actress Stormy Daniels after she publicly claimed that she and Trump had an affair (which Trump denied). He’s also being investigated for questionable business practices following the discovery of confidential papers that were found in his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

Due to these investigations, Trump has once again became a recurring talking point on social media. Recently, British Journalist Eliot Higgins was banned from the AI software Midjourney after he made multiple deep fakes of Trump, depicting his arrest and life in prison. And to troll Trump supporters on Truth Social, Millenials and Gen Z infiltrated the social media platform and managed to make #DeSantis2024 a trending topic on the site.

Unfortunately, the investigation has been delayed due to the jury reconvening on Thursday instead of Wednesday. It’s currently unknown why the meeting was postponed.
