Last Saturday in Los Angeles, Alesso played to a sold-out crowd at Shrine Auditorium, hoping to recapture some of the magic that he produced during his show at the venue last year (which took place on the same weekend). To say he was successful would be an understatement, as the Swedish DJ put on a spectacular set, giving it is all and sending the crowd into a tailspin as waves of music lovers jumped up and down all night, moving, grooving and singing along to the artist’s very accessible tracks.
From classics like “Under Control” and “Calling” to some of his newer stuff, like the chart-topping “Heroes,” “Sweet Escape” and “Tear The Roof Up,” Alessandro Lindblad provided an exciting set that featured all of the music we’ve come to know and love from him mixed in with many, many surprises. The DJ pulled many of EDM’s most notable tracks into his set, but also dropped several unexpected songs (one of my favorites being a remix of Tove Lo’s “Habits (Stay High)”), which had audiences constantly guessing what would come next.
Production values were superb as well, matching the music every step of the way. From the lasers to the pyrotechnics and everything in between, the production team pulled out all the stops, ensuring that each and every audience member, no matter where they were standing, had an immersive visual experience to go along with the music.
All in all, Alesso delivered another extremely memorable night, as he usually does, and definitely left the crowd wanting more. Everything about the show was top notch and there’s no doubt that Los Angeles will be waiting eagerly for him to return. Let’s just hope that the wait won’t be too long.
