Elon Musk is at it again, this time he’s after the Taylor Swift community with his latest tweets. One might wonder why a rich billionaire would spend their free time going after people who simply want to enjoy the remaining two months of the American leg of the Eras Tour. The answer: no one knows.
The self-proclaimed Swiftie shared an old post on Twitter that alleged the pop singer to be “Napoleon Dynamite in drag.” The post featured a side-by-side photo of the singer and the fictional movie character, which tried to prove that they had similar facial structures.
People found it cringe that Musk shared a near decade-old meme as an attempt to be relatable on the internet. I mean, the guy ensured that Twitter’s algorithm would be rigged in his favor so that people would engage with his posts more. Now, he’s making fun of the world biggest’s pop star, months after he praised her for dodging the FTX fiasco. What kind of Swiftie is he?
Some Swifties spitballed that Musk’s actions might be his way of seeking Swift’s attention. They recalled previous comments made by the tech billionaire, where he praised the singer on the platform. Now, he seems to be mocking her appearance in hopes of getting some sort of reaction.
Musk often goes to great lengths to gain the attention of celebrities. This was evident in his multiple exchanges with Stephen King when he was criticized by the horror author after announcing his plans for paid verification on Twitter. Then, later admitted to personally paying for his blue checkmark following the legacy checkmark purge. Hopefully, Musk’s “quest” to get Swift to notice him will end soon, as it is rather sad. Perhaps he should find a hobby or focus more on his spaceships to avoid future explosions.
