1) Robin (Dick Grayson)
Just about every young hero who has taken on the mantle of Robin has joined the Titans over the years. Tim Drake, Damian Wayne, Jason Todd… but the version who still defines the team better than anyone else is still the original: Dick Grayson.
As Robin, Dick was immediately made the leader of the Teen Titans after the team first founded. By the time the team reunited in 1980, Dick had grown up and fallen out with his mentor Batman. One of his most important moments came in the seminal ‘The Judas Contract’ storyline where he took on the mantle of Nightwing, the alter ego that has stuck with the character ever since.
Grayson’s character arc is at the heart of what the Titans are all about: stepping out of the adults’ shadows and proving that they’re just as capable. You can hardly have the Teen Titans without him, so it’s no surprise that he’ll be front and centre of the new Titans TV show.
