Towering Titans: The 10 Greatest Members Of The Teen Titans

Another week, another new comic book adaptation from DC and Warner Bros. This time, it's been announced that the long-in-the-tooth Teen Titans TV series is finally on the way. Titled Titans, the project will be the first time that DC's teenage superhero team has made it into live-action and it'll be released on a brand new, DC-focused digital service, alongside season 3 of Young Justice. The show will be produced by the Arrowverse's Greg Berlanti, DC president Geoff Johns and Hollywood screenwriter Akiva Goldsman.

The green-skinned Beast Boy AKA Garfield Logan was originally a member of the lesser-known Doom Patrol back in the 1960s – essentially DC’s version of the X-Men – but he properly came into his own when Wolfman and Perez made him one of Raven’s New Teen Titans. At that point, he took the name Changeling, though his original moniker has always stuck better.

If Raven was the instigator of the team, then Beast Boy – who can transform into any animal at will – was the heart. As well as having a tumultuous and long-running romance with Raven, he also develops a close friendship with fellow Titan Cyborg. One of the character’s defining moments came when he talked Cyborg back to his normal self after he went on a rampage after becoming Cyberion.

Ever the jokester, Gar might appear immature and scatter-brained, but underneath it all he also suffers from self-confidence issues. Still, he’s one heck of a hero and has found himself in just about every variation of the team over the decades. It just wouldn’t be the Titans without him.
