6) Starfire
Another addition of the Wolfman/Perez era is Starfire. An alien warrior princess, Koriand’r of Tamaran – usually known as Kory – fled her cruel family and found a new home on Earth, where she immediately allied with the Teen Titans. She’s been a loyal and long-lasting member of the team ever since. Her optimistic, naive outlook paired with her fierce fighting spirit has made her a firm fan favourite.
With the ability to absorb UV radiation, Starfire can fly at super-speed, possesses incredible strength (she once shook a whole city with one hit) and fire energy blasts she calls ‘starbolts.’ Kory is also part of the most enduring – and complicated – ‘office romance’ of the Titans; her relationship with Robin. Her and Dick Grayson once almost got married but their wedding was ruined by Raven (who was evil at the time).
Starfire’s popularity is still riding strong, as she even had her own solo series back in 2015. As of DC Rebirth, she’s another classic teammate who’s once again one of the Titans.
