4 Things You Need To Know About The 100 Before You Watch Season 2

The 100 may have been the last series that The CW rolled out this past Spring, but that doesn't mean it finished short by any means. The show quickly became 'Must See TV,' earning itself a solid following and a quick renewal. But, with only 13-episodes making up its first season, the writers moved hastily through the central story arc, covering a lot of ground between beginning and end.

Season one of The 100 took place in two locations – on Earth and in space. The adults were primarily confined to the latter. At the end of the season, as a last ditch effort to preserve as many members of The Ark as possible, the crew recalibrated one of sectors of the space craft to act as a shuttle. To add a little dramatic flair to this already intense twist, someone had to stay behind to manually launch the ship, and that was Chancellor Jaha (Isaiah Washington).

The sector of The Ark hurtled through space, entered Earth’s atmosphere, and landed with a bump. Abby and Kane exited the ship and confirm that the makeshift craft had indeed landed in what looked like the same geographic region as where the 100 did in the pilot episode.

But the grown-ups aren’t the only ones who ended the season in an unknown location. Octavia, after being saved by Lincoln for the umpteenth time, became a liability during the course of the fight with the Grounders. She left at Bellamy’s urge, in Lincoln’s care, to find safety. When the season picks up, they will be separated from the rest of the 100 who are being held at Mount Weather.

There’s also a big question mark when it comes to Finn’s whereabouts. In the finale, he took one for the team and may have lost his life in the process – but chances are he miraculously survived and fans will be reunited with him shortly. Wouldn’t it be crazy if he became a prisoner of another Earthen group?

Be sure to tune in tomorrow night at 9pm for the season two premiere of The 100.
