4) Why Is Tyrell So Loyal To Elliot?
The finale kicks off with a scene showing Tyrell opening up to Elliot about his past and attempting to find a connection between them. Of course, other than revenge for being fired, we’ve never been given a really compelling and believable reason why Tyrell would want to bring down E-Corp, but the version of him we see here – who has now been confirmed as being very real – is fully committed to the cause and changing the world. It’s clear then that these two have spent a lot of time together that we haven’t seen with those moments taking place when Elliot was Mr. Robot.
[zergpaid]Why is a man like Tyrell so fiercely loyal to Elliot and what led to him expressing his love for him when he calls Angela later in the episode? Has their relationship taken a romantic turn somewhere along the line so Mr. Robot could emotionally manipulate him, or does Tyrell just love Elliot like a brother because he believes so much in what he’s attempting to achieve? It’s impossible to say right now, but after an entire season spent teasing his fate, it’s essential that season 3 delves into the link between these two and where they go from here as Phase 2 comes to fruition.
