3) Is Angela Part Of The Dark Army Now?
In the penultimate episode, Whiterose told Angela something which led to her abandoning her mission to bring down E-Corp in order to allow the Dark Army to continue with whatever Elliot is planning. It’s already been confirmed that we’ll find out what that was down the line, but is Angela truly loyal to the Dark Army now, or just playing along until she can find a result which best suits her and possibly rescues Elliot from their clutches? Whatever the answer is, she’s definitely become one of Mr. Robot‘s most fascinating characters, especially when it comes to where her loyalties lie.
What’s particularly interesting about the finale is that she’s clearly been fully clued in to what’s happening as she expected Tyrell’s call and seemed to already know that he would have had to have done something to incapacitate Elliot so he couldn’t stop Phase 2 from happening. After the Dark Army filled her in on what they’re planning for E-Corp and the world, could Angela have explained to them that Elliot has a split personality? Is she going to be there when he wakes up to convince him that moving forward is the right thing to do? For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
