2) What Exactly Is Leon Up To?
Leon ended up being one of Mr. Robot‘s biggest surprises after it was revealed that he was in prison alongside Elliot in order to protect him on behalf of the Dark Army. The way he dispatched of the men attempting to rape Elliot also showed that he’s a force to be reckoned with, so the fact that he’s managed to track down Trenton and Mobley could be very bad news for them. Is that final scene supposed to be a sign that he’s there to kill them both so they’re unable to interfere with Phase 2 in any way? Seeing as Mobley has found a way to reverse the hack, that does seem likely.
[zergpaid]It’s also possible, of course, that he’s there to recruit them and bring them back into the fold (despite the Dark Army attempting to kill Darlene and her boyfriend, comments from Dom point to them initially not having it out for the hackers until they started scattering and asking too many questions). If they do want them back, will the duo attempt to secretly set things right? Or, if Leon is there to take them out in a horribly gruesome fashion, was Mr. Robot the one who sent him knowing that his former allies – like Elliot – have the potential to stop the plan from being enacted?
