8) Wally West
In last week’s episode of The Flash, Savitar managed to fool Kid-Flash into releasing him from the Speed Force and trapped him there in his place. It’s pretty obvious that Barry is going to figure out how to release his friend (set photos from upcoming episodes confirm as much), but there’s still reason to believe that an older Wally could wind up becoming Savitar.
Perhaps Barry will make some sort of bargain with the Speed Force which seals his fate in some way, while the reckless actions of the young speedster coupled with his tense relationship with the Scarlet Speedster could easily be what leads to Wally taking a villainous turn. Savitar’s mention of Barry’s happy upbringing also lends some weight to this theory, as it wouldn’t be remotely hard to believe that he resents his “brother” for having the happy childhood he didn’t.
7) Eddie Thawne
After sacrificing himself to save the Flash by wiping Eobard Thawne out of history, Eddie Thawne’s body was pulled into the Singularity/Speed Force. It was because of that many fans theorized last year that he could be Zoom, but what if he’s actually Iris West’s former flame? That would explain why he kills her (revenge for Barry “stealing” his life and her moving on to date the Fastest Man Alive), not to mention how he lost his mind in the Speed Force.
Of course, that technically hasn’t happened yet, but time travel is a confusing thing, so Savitar’s origin could easily be tied into Eddie’s fate. It’s also worth noting that he’s set to appear in the next episode of The Flash inside the Speed Force and it would be a really neat twist for it to be revealed that while Ronnie Raymond and Captain Cold are hallucinations, he’s real and Barry’s failure to save him is how Savitar’s story begins.
