Arrow’s Stephen Amell Is Playing Multiple Olivers In Crisis On Infinite Earths

By now, you're probably aware of how Arrow's eighth and final season has a whole lot to do with "Crisis on Infinite Earths" - and how the Emerald Archer himself will play a huge role in the crossover itself. Actually, we may have to amend that statement to saying "roles" from here on out.

By now, you’re probably aware of how Arrow‘s eighth and final season has a whole lot to do with “Crisis on Infinite Earths” – and how the Emerald Archer himself will play a huge role in the crossover itself. Actually, we may have to amend that statement to saying “roles” from here on out.

If you’re wondering what we’re talking about, it has everything to do with what Stephen Amell recently told Entertainment Tonight when they inquired about his involvement in “Crisis.” Here’s what he had to say:

“I’m going to play more than one character in the crossover. They’re all named Oliver.”

You know, we should’ve expected this because we’ll also see multiple versions of other characters during said crossover. In case you hadn’t heard, both Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh will suit up as Superman, with the latter portraying the Kingdom Come iteration. And if Tom Welling does indeed show up to the party, then we can add a third Man of Steel to the tally. Naturally, Tom Cavanagh will play yet another doppelganger of Harrison Wells.

I guess there’s no time like the present to speculate what these other Olivers will be like. Perharps one never suited up as Green Arrow, while another went down a much darker path. Heck, maybe we’ll even see the costume worn by Justin Hartley on Smallville make a comeback.

Getting back to the idea of evil Olivers, it’s probably safe to say we won’t see more of Dark Arrow from Earth-X because, well, he’s very much dead. Still, there are other possibilities to explore. One that comes to mind is that of the Blue Bowman, who’ll be known to viewers of Batman: The Brave and the Bold. On that animated series, this archer from Earth-23 was a member of Owlman’s Injustice Syndicate and is ripe for live action adaptation.

If you have any other ideas, feel free to drop them in the comments section below. Otherwise, we’ll keep waiting for Arrow‘s return, which will come on Tuesday, October 15th on The CW.
