Arrow’s Stephen Amell Wants Tom Welling To Appear In Crisis On Infinite Earths

With each passing day, it sure is looking like "Crisis on Infinite Earths" is shaping up to be a crossover like no other. To those familiar with the comic book on which the TV adaptation is based, that's expected, because Marv Wolfman and George Perez's classic from the 1980's remains one of DC's biggest and most popular tales ever told.

If you’re a Superman fan, then odds are you’re especially giddy about this one. For those who haven’t heard, both Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh will suit up as Big Blue, with the latter embodying the Kingdom Come iteration of the character.

Well, if Arrow‘s Stephen Amell gets his way, then those two fellas just mentioned won’t be the only Men of Steel invited to the party. Here’s what the Emerald Archer himself had to say when ComicBook.com asked him which guest star he’d like to have join him in “Crisis”:

“I would want Tom Welling. I want what the fans want.”

This is interesting to hear, as there were reports making the rounds not too long ago saying that Welling is likely to show up during the crossover, but nothing’s been confirmed by the network and because of their radio silence, we can’t be too sure of whether the Smallville alum will reprise his iconic role just yet.

When it comes to other notable “Crisis on Infinite Earths” guest stars though, know that LaMonica Garrett’s pulling double duty as the Monitor and Anti-MonitorElizabeth Tulloch returns as Lois LaneBatman ’66 alum Burt Ward will show up, and, most recently, Cress Williams confirmed he’s dropping by as Black Lightning. This just keeps getting better and better, my friends.

Arrow, meanwhile, returns for its eighth and final season on Tuesday, October 15th on The CW.
