Hawaii has been playing host to Inhumans for little under a month at this point, but we now have word of a last-minute addition to the ensemble cast: Chad James Buchanan.
That’s according to the actor himself, who posted a now-deleted Tweet (via CBM) confirming that he was en route to Hawaii in order to film scenes for Marvel and ABC’s long-awaited superhero series. No further details were offered at the time of writing, leading to heated speculation as to who James Buchanan will be playing – providing his Tweet stands as proof, though it’s worth keeping in mind that neither Marvel nor ABC have announced anything official just yet.
Then again, given the former’s tendency for secrecy, it could simply be that Marvel doesn’t want to reveal the identity of Chad James Buchanan’s character ahead of time. Chances are, he’s signed on to play a member of the Royal Guards, or simply another supporting player within Inhumans. Most, if not all of the principal roles have been filled, so we’re intrigued to discover how he fits into the cast.
The official synopsis for Marvel’s latest superhero series is as follows: “After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.”
Once angled as a live-action feature under the MCU, Inhumans has been repackaged as an overly ambitious TV series. The pilot will screen via select IMAX theaters on September 1st – it’s set to run for two weeks in total – before Marvel’s star-studded show uproots for ABC on September 26th.
