Corey Feldman Wants Frog Brothers To Return In The Lost Boys TV Show

Apparently, Corey Feldman wants to be part of The Lost Boys TV show on The CW, with the actor eyeing a Frog Boys reunion.

The Frog Brothers

The CW’s in-development Lost Boys series is being retooled after a disappointing pilot. This may be good news for Corey Feldman, though, who wants a Frog Brothers reunion with Jamison Newlander.

Commenting on Twitter, Feldman had this to say about the proposed new pilot:

“HMMMMM… Jamison Newlander R U thinkin’ what I’m thinkin’?

The original pitch for The CW series was to make the Frog Brothers the Frog Sisters, with Sarah Hay, Cheyenne Haynes and Haley Tju cast in the roles. An apparently poor response from the network to the Catherine Hardwicke-helmed pilot though means that this idea may now have been scrapped. Some of the original pilot cast, including Medalion Rahimi and Dakota Shapiro, will be kept on board, however.

Although the exact casting may be up in the air at the moment, we think the series will mostly stick to being a reboot of the original movie, which saw Michael and Sam Emerson move to the beach town of Santa Carla with their mother, and soon encounter its vampire inhabitants. It’s currently unknown whether Hardwicke, who has vampire credentials in Twilight, will be given another chance to shape the look of the new pilot, but we’ll let you know once we learn more.

The Lost Boys

Plans for The Lost Boys seemed to build upon The CW’s winning approach to reviving beloved properties, having experienced success with Riverdale and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The Lost Boys also fits into the network’s track record for sexy vampire drama, which has notably included The Vampire Diaries.

It’s difficult to imagine that Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander’s Frog Brothers will solve The Lost Boys‘ pilot problems. Although both actors have reprised their roles in franchise sequels, casting them doesn’t seem to fit with a reboot. However, it wouldn’t do The CW harm to at least grant the actors a cameo in a new pilot. In our opinion, at least.
