Fans will be excited to know that both Daredevil and Kingpin are hitting the gym in preparation for the imminent reunion in Daredevil: Born Again. The fight scenes in the Netflix Daredevil series were universally acclaimed, so it’s good to know that the stars are getting ready to hopefully bring us more of the same.

Images shared on Twitter show that Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are ensuring they are in tip-top shape for their eventual showdown. The images show both actors working with trainer Naqam Washington who has been training Cox for every Daredevil outing, including his recent cameo in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Though he does of course have a stunt double, Charlie Brewster, Cox does a lot of his own stunts as well and is currently training in MMA for the upcoming series.

Cox is not the only one getting back into fighting shape, D’Onofrio is also working with Washington to make sure he’s in peak condition to throw down. Kingpin is known for his inordinate strength, able to pick people up and throw them around like ragdolls, which we saw most recently in the finale of the Hawkeye series.

Fans have been dying to see these two back together ever since Daredevil: Born Again was announced, and they are certainly excited to see them back in action. Netflix’s Daredevil was one of the grittier offerings from Marvel, and many are worried that now it is moving over to Disney it will become a little more family-friendly and lose the darker themes of its predecessor. Here’s hoping that the fights are just as visceral and brutal as before.

We may actually see this match-up a little earlier in Echo, coming to Disney Plus in early 2024, before Daredevil: Born Again which should arrive on the platform later that year.
