AMC’s zombie apocalypse rages on in this sun-kissed new poster for Fear The Walking Dead season 3, which confirms the show’s September return.
Both Fear and its reanimated next of kin, The Walking Dead, are expected to have a sizeable presence at San Diego Comic-Con this coming weekend, though AMC has scaled back plans for numerous press events in light of John Bernecker’s tragic death. The 33-year-old stuntman died last week after falling 20 feet while filming a scene with actor Austin Amelio (Dwight), and the set accident resulted in AMC halting production for a short period of time. Filming has since resumed on the network’s flagship.
As for TWD‘s sibling series, Fear The Walking Dead staged its midseason premiere earlier this month, and when you consider that the show’s ratings have dipped in recent outings, FTWD still has a lot to prove if it’s to win over the naysayers. A fourth season is already on the cards, so it’s clear that the Powers That Be over at AMC believe there’s still some mileage left in their flesh-munching companion series. Besides, the events that transpired on the Otto Ranch during season 3’s midseason finale will surely have fans on tenterhooks all throughout the summer, but with an SDCC panel booked in for Friday, July 21st at 12:15 pm PT, AMC will surely offer up more clues on what the future holds for Madison and Co.
Fear The Walking Dead continues on September 10th at 9 pm, and assuming everything remains on schedule, season 3B will take us right up to the premiere of The Walking Dead season 8 on October 22nd, when Rick and his ragtag army will be taking the fight to Negan once more.
