A certain Jessica Jones may be occupying all of the headlines going into Netflix’s fall season, but the online giant today unveiled a new teaser poster for Daredevil season 2, beckoning fans back to the dark and grimy streets of Hell’s Kitchen once again. Designed by the devilishly talented Joe Quesada, the one-sheet is a stark and vivid tease ahead of the show’s return early next year, and ardent fans will recognize the poster from last year’s New York Comic-Con event.

With this year’s pop culture event due to take place this weekend in the Big Apple, it’s appropriate that Marvel would roll out another piece of concept art for the return of The Man Without Fear, and you can check it out in full down below.

Could this be a primer for the first Daredevil season 2 teaser trailer? Time will tell. Though given how further along Jessica Jones is in development, our bet would be on Marvel showcasing more footage for its former superheroine-turned-detective at this weekend’s NYCC.

Donning the blood-red guise once again as The Man Without Fear is Charlie Cox, who took up arms as the titular mercenary – even accepting the evocative moniker – by the end of the show’s premiere season. But while the Kingpin is locked up behind bars, Hell’s Kitchen is anything but a peaceful haven, with threats emerging from the city’s dark shadows. Alongside Cox are Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Scott Glenn as Stick and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple – the latter of whom will be playing a more instrumental role in Marvel’s small-screen universe moving forward.

Now that Jon Bernthal has been cast as Frank Castle (AKA The Punisher) and Elodie Yung also set to appear as Elektra Natchios, Matt Murdock will certainly have his hands full when Daredevil returns to Netflix for season 2 in early 2016. Jessica Jones, meanwhile, will hit the streaming platform come November 20.
