It pays to be part of the family.

Love them or hate them, the Kardashians are here to stay. Since the family first booked their own reality TV show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, back in 2007, they’ve become a pop culture force to be reckoned with. The family was able to leverage that newfound reality fame into breaking into every corner of fame and fortune available to the average celebrity. By this point, it feels impossible to avoid the Kardashians; whether it’s Kim working on becoming a lawyer, Kris becoming a TikTok meme, or Kendall cutting a cucumber in the most normal way possible — you’re keeping up with the Kardashians, whether you like it or not.

We’ve come to associate TV’s royal family with wealth and excess, and given their abundant net worths, it’s probably a deserved reputation. Every member of this family is a multi-millionaire (or even billionaire, in some cases), and while every Kardashian has their own individual businesses and endeavors, there’s one commonality they share. Even after 16 years, the reality show is going strong (albeit with a different name, and on Hulu as of 2022). We all know the Kardashians are exorbitantly wealthy, which means The Kardashians must pay them a pretty penny to make filming worth their time. But exactly how much does each member of the Kardashian clan make from the show?

Be right back, I’m quitting my day job and becoming a Kardashian

As it stands, signing on for another show was a great financial decision for the Kardashians. Per a report from Variety, Hulu offered the family $100 million for two seasons, consisting of 40 episodes in total. For context, E! offered the Kardashian clan a $150 million contract to shoot the first five seasons; the family obviously learned how to negotiate what they’re worth in that time frame.

While it’s difficult to confirm exactly how the Kardashians split that $100 million with each other, some have attempted to estimate. In the same Variety cover story, Khloe emphasized that each family member was paid the same amount for the new show; “We’re all equals,” she said while adding that “not all money is good money… It can’t just be for monetary gain. That doesn’t seem to work for us.” That being said, she admitted money “definitely played a factor.”

If we take Khloe’s words at face value, each Kardashian stands to make the same amount for each season of the show. StyleCaster estimates that each family member would make between $7.5 million and $8.3 million; while the contract was for 40 episodes total, the seasons have been split into 10 episodes. Based off that, each Kardashian would make between $750,000 and $830,000 per episode. So….can I join the family?
