The latest season of The Real Housewives of New York City has premiered and features a brand new cast. To celebrate the first episode’s release, one of the cast members took to social media and shared their excitement for the latest season and the journey they’ve been through to get there.
RHONY newcomer Brynn Whitfield posted on Instagram during premiere night, and reflected about how this eight-month journey wasn’t easy and how there were times when she struggled to put herself out there. She said that even someone like her, who’s extroverted, would find it difficult to be entertaining, and hopes that people will enjoy this latest season.
Whitfield is the youngest member of the season 14 cast and saw herself as a “trophy wife in training.” During an interview with People Magazine, she hinted that she would be the “villain” in this latest season because of her jokes.
The 14th season of The Real Housewives of New York City is described as a reboot, featuring a set of six new housewives with no connection to the original cast. RHONY Executive Producer Andy Cohen described this latest season as “the most diverse” during an interview with Variety, as it aims to reflect the multicultural lifestyle of the city. Bravo told People that it is disappointed it couldn’t shoot a reunion special due to scheduling issues, which is why it couldn’t bring the cast back together.
The Real Housewives of New York City airs at 9pm ET on Bravo and is available to stream on Peacock.
