It doesn’t get much better than having an entire episode of The Simpsons centered around you. According to FOX, Lady Gaga will enjoy that luxury when the new season of the long-running show returns in September.
In the episode, titled Lisa Goes Gaga, Lady Gaga lends her voice and persona, helping Lisa Simpson find her voice when self-esteem plummets in Springfield.
“I make music, but I don’t do voice-overs every day of the week, and their characters are so awesomely convincing and sincere and wild and funny, I had to remind myself constantly of the sincerity of the humor,” Gaga told EW of recording the episode.
Gaga spent this past Monday recording the episode, which premieres on September 25th. Although this is the first time the pop star’s voice will be featured on the show, it won’t be the first time that her persona will be appearing. Her likeness showed up in an earlier episode, although the character was not voiced by Gaga.
The Simpsons will return for its 23rd season on September 25th.
