One could say that Disney enjoys its chaos so much that it can’t get enough of Ron DeSantis’ attempt to drag it into a tantrum-induced vendetta as it endeavors to spark the madness further with its controversial choices.
And this time, the studio is getting all the help it needs. While former U.S. president Donald Trump has added Disney to his list of things that need transformation and can only be saved by him and him alone, Mrs. DeSantis’ latest appearance inadvertently makes her husband look bad in his crusade against the company.
Disney Plus quietly dumps another original and rewrites the definition of irony in the process
At this point, Disney has proved that nothing is sacred in its ongoing content purge – not its original shows, the ones carrying the Marvel tag, or those that were not named in the released list of shows destined for deletion. Thus, it is not exactly surprising that after erasing an acclaimed Marvel series out of the blue (while keeping a total disappointment), Disney Plus went after another original.
No, it is more ironic than surprising as the show in question is its docuseries Prop Culture, which was all about preserving and cherishing props and company-branded media.
Casey DeSantis repeats recent history, this time as a Disney Princess
Just a few days ago, the First Lady courted controversy when she stepped out in an outfit that resembled the attires worn by the much-hated characters from HBO’s The Handmaid’s Tale. But her questionable taste in fashion is not done raising eyebrows as her recent public appearance saw her giving very Disney Princess-like vibes and looking very out of place amid formally and/or casually dressed people at a very formal event.
But what’s more, this fashion misfire isn’t the only instance as while Ron DeSantis continues waging war against the Mouse House — and claiming his wife should be in “every fashion magazine” — Casey DeSantis has been openly flaunting what appears to be her suppressed love for Disney fairytales.
Donald Trump knows how to bring back ‘woke’ Disney’s former glory
After vehemently claiming that he can end Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 24 hours and stressing that he is the only one who can stop World War 3 that will definitely happen, Trump is now not-so-subtly hinting that he knows how to make Disney great again.
While the former president has supported the company in the past, he is catching on to how the Republicans view the organization. But as mindlessly targeting Disney would mean siding with his opponent DeSantis, Trump has decided to instead claim the Florida Governor is “destroying Disney” by letting the company become so “woke” and how it is still so very easy to get it back on track.
