Legends Of Tomorrow Season Finale Promo Reveals Mallus

If anything, the season finale of Legends of Tomorrow will be a star-studded affair, to say the least. I mean, not only will we bear witness to the returns of both Jonah Hex and Jefferson Jackson, but none other than John Constantine will be putting in an appearance as well!

Come to think of it, the Waverider crew will be needing all the help they can get, for next week’s conclusion will feature the final battle against Mallus, the very demon whom we merely heard the voice of to this point. It was a calculated risk by the producers, sure, but it made last night’s demise of Nora Darhk – whom he’d used as a vessel – all the more tragic.

So, if you tuned in for “Guest Starring John Noble,” you too saw the physical form of Mallus in the closing moments. But, if you want to savor the details, we advise that you check out the above trailer for “The Good, The Bad and The Cuddly” and freeze it at the 0:08 mark.

Personally, I think he looks like a hybrid of Man-Bat and the final boss from Silent Hill: Origins, but that’s just me. Regardless, none of us should be too surprised by his horrific appearance because we long knew he’d be a CGI creation. That said, we can only hope his animation is a bit smoother and more realistic than what Grodd’s been given in recent memory. Really, I’m completely taken out of the scene any time the primate is on screen.

For more, be sure to check out the official synopsis:

The Legends plan to vanquish Mallus by using the totems doesn’t go as planned, forcing Rip (guest star Arthur Darvill) to improvise. The team finds itself regrouping in the Wild West where they run into their old pal Jonah Hex (guest star Johnathon Schaech). Sara (Caity Lotz) leaves Ray (Brandon Routh) in charge of watching Damien Darhk (Neal McDonaugh), while she comes up with a new plan. Meanwhile, Amaya (Maisie Richarson-Sellers) is determined to find a way to use the totems to destroy Mallus.

You can catch the season finale of Legends of Tomorrow next Monday, April 9 on The CW.
