Still riding high after last week’s DC TV crossover, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow looks to carry that momentum into what will hopefully be a strong midseason finale in “The Chicago Way.”
In the video embedded at the top, executive producer Marc Guggenheim gives us a general idea what to expect from tonight’s episode when the Legends travel back to, you guessed it, prohibition era Chicago. While there, you can anticipate seeing Dominic Purcell continue to steal every scene with his awesome interpretation of Heat Wave. Not only that, but the Legion of Doom will seemingly add to their ranks – which already include The Reverse Flash and Damien Darhk – with the addition of Malcolm Merlyn and, quite possibly, a returning Captain Cold.
The second visual offering sees the Waverider crew break up some shady activity that Al Capone is engaging in down at the docks (where else?) in a rather action-packed sequence. Suffice it to say, the team is holding their own even in the absence of Rip Hunter, who is expected to return in early 2017.
For more details, be sure to check out the official synopsis below:
LEGION OF DOOM — When a new Time Aberration is discovered by the Legends, they find themselves headed to 1927 Chicago. The Legends quickly realize that they have been set up by Eobard Thawne (guest star Matt Letscher), Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) and the newest member of the Legion of Doom, Malcolm Merlyn (guest start John Barrowman). While everyone is trying to help fix what they think is the mission, Jax (Franz Drameh) encourages a reluctant Stein (Victor Garber) to share his secret with the other Legends. Stein is taken captive and Sara (Caity Lotz) must make the tough choice of either stopping the Legion of Doom or saving Stein. Meanwhile, Rory (Dominic Purcell) gets an unexpected visitor and is not sure how to handle it. Brandon Routh, Nick Zano and Maisie Richardson-Sellers also star. Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by Sarah Nicole Jones & Ray Utarnachitt. Original airdate 12/9/2016.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs on Thursday nights on The CW.
