We’re fast approaching the premiere of Orphan Black season 4 and with little under a month to go, BBC America has rolled out the latest psychedelic trailer, heralding the return of Tatiana Maslany’s haunted Sarah and her many, many clones.
If previous seasons have laid the foundations of a global conspiracy, then things appear to be coming to a head for Maslany’s protagonist. Retaining the fast cuts and pulsing soundtrack of existing teasers, Orphan Black season 4 is all about narrowing down the hunt for Beth Childs – the one clone that started it all.
Besides, considering that season 3’s pacing ebbed and flowed, ultimately distracting from the core concept at the heart of the series, here’s hoping for a return to form with next month’s batch of episodes.
Clone Club, rejoice! Orphan Black season 4 hits BBC America on April 14. Jordan Gavaris, Kevin Hanchard, Évelyne Brochu, Kristian Bruun, and Maria Doyle Kennedy also star.
Sarah, reluctantly return home from her Icelandic hideout to track down an elusive and mysterious ally tied to the clone who started it all — Beth Childs. Sarah will follow Beth’s footsteps into a dangerous relationship with a potent new enemy, heading in a horrifying new direction. Under constant pressure to protect the sisterhood and keep everyone safe, Sarah’s old habits begin to resurface. As the close-knit sisters are pulled in disparate directions, Sarah finds herself estranged from the loving relationships that changed her for the better.
