Pedro Pascal To Star In The Mandalorian

The actor known for Narcos and Game of Thrones – not to mention the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 – will be heading a cast that is otherwise looking pretty blank for the time being, though the internet has offered plenty of suggestions. For one thing, there’s a rumor going round at the moment that Carl Weathers of Predator and Rocky fame will have a part to play in the Disney Plus show. On top of that, previous reports alleged that Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waitit each have minor roles lined up, the latter of whom is supposedly voicing a droid.

While such claims are awaiting confirmation, we at least know that the Jurassic World star and the Thor: Ragnarok helmsman will each be directing episodes, along with the likes of Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones) and Rick Famuyiwa (Dope). The first episode, however, will be helmed by Dave Filoni, who already has some Star Wars credentials thanks to his work on Rebels and Clone Wars.

Anyway, it’s nice to get some clarification of what star’s responsible for introducing us to this new chapter in the franchise’s timeline, and though The Mandalorian looks like it’s still some wait away, you can bet that this latest reveal is going to pique the interest of at least a few Javier Peña fans.

Be sure to stay tuned for further details on both this upcoming series and its Disney streaming platform companion, the Cassian Andor show, as we’ll surely learn more soon.
