If you’ve been keeping pace with the studio’s small-screen offerings, you’ll know that that fantastic foursome is made up of DaredevilJessica JonesLuke Cage, and the kid with the Iron Fist. That mantle belongs to Danny Rand (Finn Jones), who became the fourth and final member of the team back in March.

In fact, with the exception of Sigourney Weaver’s Alexandra, many of the characters set to appear in The Defenders have been plucked from those aforementioned standalone series, including Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple), Scott Glenn (Stick), Rachael Taylor (Trish “Hellcat” Walker), Elden Henson (Foggy), Eka Darville (Malcolm), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) and Simone Missick (Misty Knight).

Almost all of those individuals get a chance in the spotlight with these new photos, too, which you can browse through in the gallery above. Both the titular heroes and the supporting characters are featured here, with a particular highlight being the pics that tease the Heroes for Hire. Or, for those not into comic books, the duo of Luke Cage and Danny Rand.

Aside from them, there’s also a lot of Sigourney Weaver’s still mysterious villain as well as more than enough team shots to whet our appetite for that eventual moment when all four heroes finally join forces. Don’t expect to learn too much more about the plot from this new batch of images, but for those eagerly anticipating the series, we definitely suggest taking a look through the gallery.

The battle for New York begins when all eight episodes of The Defenders become available to stream on August 18th. Marvel and Netflix’s ensemble show will presumably be followed in quick succession (November, perhaps?) by The Punisher, before new seasons of DaredevilLuke Cage, and Jessica Jones debut in 2018.
