Season 2 Of Iron Fist Rumored To Be A Drastic Improvement With Fewer Episodes

Reddit tipster 'defenders_throwaway' claims that season 2 of Marvel's Iron Fist will contain fewer episodes and better fight scenes, with Colleen Wing being the true standout.

If the latest Reddit tip is to be believed, Marvel and Netflix have adopted a ‘less is more’ approach to Iron Fist season 2.

As reported by MCU Exchange, online sleuth ‘defenders_throwaway’ claims that Danny Rand’s second solo adventure will contain fewer episodes (six, perhaps?) and better fight scenes, with Jessica Henwick’s Colleen Wing said to be the one true standout.

All of this is subject to debate, of course, though we should stress that the Redditor’s alleged scoops have proved eerily accurate in the past – hell, he/she has already relayed a ton of information pertaining to Daredevil season 3. But on the opposite end of Hell’s Kitchen, Iron Fist is supposedly gearing up for a “top-notch” second season, despite relying on a “very tired trope” for one of its primary plot points.

Iron Fist is top notch. Shorter season. Better pacing. better everything, really. they rely on a very tired trope for one of the main plot points, but it works somehow. misty and colleen steal the show. only a part of the costume [will be included] and only as sort of an easter egg. IF choreography has improved a lot. Danny looks competent now and has cool moments. But the stand out scenes in IF are the ones that involve Colleen.

There’s also mention of the classic yellow and green costume, though it would appear Iron Fist season 2 will only make a nod to Danny Rand’s super suit, rather than indulging in fan service. Finally, today’s report all but confirms that Finn Jones’ Defender will be going face-to-face with his old buddy, Davos, played by Sacha Dhawan.

The villain is exactly who you would expect. But he is well written and his motivations are believable. They even sort of make me buy Joy’s betrayal, which I found immensely stupid at first.

So, there you have it; the rumor mill now claims that Iron Fist season 2 will favor quality over quantity, resulting in a drastic improvement for what’s arguably the weakest of Netflix’s superhero roster. Elsewhere on the Marvel slate, the third season of Daredevil appears to be coming together nicely, as Charlie Cox’s Man in Black prepares to take on Bullseye.
