The next iteration of The Challenge: USA is back this summer, and it’s packed with CBS and MTV reality television stars. Season two’s trailer was released on July 11 and it shows off several Challenge names from MTV’s mainline series, as well as competitors from three CBS competition franchises: Survivor, Big Brother, and The Amazing Race.
Season two will mark the fifth season of The Challenge’s international spin-offs and the second to solely feature North American talent. The Challenge: USA season one wrapped in September 2022, and it was followed by Australian, Argentinian, and UK versions of the show. Then, notable players from each show, as well as a group of Challenge mainstays, battled it out in the World Championship, which had its finale on May 17.
The Challenge: USA season two is next up and will premiere on CBS and Paramount Plus on August 10. The trailer is available below:
Eighteen reality TV stars will duke it out as TJ Lavin returns to his hosting duties
With longtime host TJ Lavin at the helm, The Challenge: USA season two will feature 24 contestants — 12 men and 12 women, all of which have a reality competition background — and they hail from the four franchises previously mentioned. That means there aren’t any Love Island cast members, unlike season one. Six Challenge veterans were cast on The Challenge: USA‘s second season, while seven Survivor players, nine Big Brother houseguests, and two “Amazing Racers” will carry the torch for their respective shows.
However, a handful of the players who are representing CBS shows have competed on The Challenge in the past. Here are the 24 names to look out for:

The Challenge: USA season 2 has an unorthodox release timeline
According to Variety, season two isn’t getting the typical weekly episodic drop, at least for the first few weeks. The Challenge: USA will feature a two-part premiere which will begin at 10 p.m. ET on August 10 via CBS and Paramount Plus. Then, part two will be available at 9 p.m. ET on August 13 through both mediums.
After the two-parter, the show will air twice a week via the platforms: Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET and Sundays at 9 p.m. ET. Once August 31 hits, The Challenge: USA will go down to one episode a week playing every Thursday at 10 p.m. ET.
