It’s that time of year again when our Mondays center around the intense urge to live tweet, and roll our eyes, as a five-word question is uttered by one of the most eligible bachelors or bachelorettes to a sea of romantic hopefuls: ‘Will you accept this rose?’ That’s right, it’s time for a new season of The Bachelorette, and it kicked off with some genuinely meme-worthy moments.
Charity Lawson is the lead of this season, and fans remember her from her stint as one of Zach Shallcross‘ potential suitresses. In fact, many thought Zach and Charity would end up together; but as their romance didn’t end up being long-lasting, viewers were thrilled to know that Charity would be getting another chance at love.
Her mention of Zach last night, however, wasn’t a fan favorite.
It’s not exactly that Zach was the worst guy, but let’s face it, those heartthrob vibes viewers initially got from Zach on day one didn’t really hold up throughout the season. We’re glad that Charity could turn a negative situation into something she reflects on with appreciation and light, but that shout to him helping her see that guys are good isn’t something fans were entirely on board with.
There are few things we love as much as a social media post like this: A classic case of no context that everyone in Bachelor Nation will understand.
This Tweet hits the nail on the head.
Talk about one of the most awkward moments in Bachelor history.
We stan a queen that sticks up for herself, and this moment was next-level.
If ANYTHING bares repeating from last night’s episode, it’s this. We were so confused about how to feel about Brayden, but we’ll be honest — his golden retriever energy is undoubtedly growing on us.
Get your wine glasses ready; it looks like Spencer is in it for the long haul. Now, some fans have been rubbed all the way wrong by Spencer’s advances and personality traits, and others have rushed to his defense. Regardless of what anyone thinks, Spencer got that next rose, and we’ll see more of him next week.
Not backflip boy!
We do have to admit; an hour later is a big deal. We’re getting older; sleep is precious to us.
One thing I think we can all relate to is this: No matter how hard we try to stay away from Bachelor Nation, we’re back for a front-row seat for the shenanigans.
Buckle up, Bachelor Nation — this season is going to get wild, real, and hopefully — full of a lot of love for Charity.
