First Trailer For The Mandalorian Now Has A Confirmed Release Date

To be honest, the last few months have been pretty lackluster for Star Wars fans. For better or worse, the Marvel Cinematic Universe hogged the spotlight during the first half of the year, which makes sense considering three movies (Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home) released within a few months of each other.

As such, Disney has been focusing their advertising and promotional efforts on the MCU as of late, but that’s all about to change. While the franchise was largely absent from this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, it’s ready to make a splash at the D23 Expo, which kicks off on August 23rd from the Anaheim Convention Center in California. During the past few weeks, there’s been a lot of speculation that footage of The Mandalorian would make its debut during the expo, which now certainly seems to be the case.

As noted by ComicBook.com, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the very first trailer for the upcoming Disney Plus series will premiere during this year’s D23 on August 23rd. Not a lot’s known about the show just yet, other than the fact that it’ll take place after the events of the Original Trilogy, but before the rise of the First Order, as seen in The Force Awakens. Pedro Pascal (best known for his roles in Kingsman: The Golden Circle and The Great Wall) stars as the titular character alongside Gina Carano, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito and Carl Weathers.

We’re not sure about you, but the staff here at We Got This Covered are terribly excited to get our first glimpse of The Mandalorian, which will premiere on November 12th, when Disney Plus launches. Fingers crossed that we also get another trailer for The Rise of Skywalker in the coming days, too.
