‘Warrior Nun’ showrunner praises the ‘Halo Bearers’ as the campaign to save the show nears the 6-month mark

And it doesn't show any signs of slowing down, either.

It’s been almost six months since the second and final season of Warrior Nun aired on Netflix, and we’re closing in on five since the streaming service did the unthinkable – or entirely predictable based on recent history – and revealed that it would be the last run of episodes.

In some cases there’s nothing more that can be done when a beloved TV show bites the dust, but the Halo Bearers refused to go quietly into the night. Ever since their worst fears were confirmed, the troops have mobilized in spectacular fashion to launch social media campaigns, petitions, and billboards placed in multiple continents around the world to try and revive the comic book adaptation.

Unfortunately, the movement has yielded precisely zero rewards, but that doesn’t mean they’re planning on giving up any time soon. Ringleader, showrunner, executive producer, and all-round figurehead Simon Barry has been leading the charge from the front since the very beginning, and he’s made a point of nothing that the buzz revolving around Warrior Nun refuses to go away.

It goes without saying that all the goodwill in the world isn’t worth a damn unless Netflix either reverses its decision or another company steps in to salvage Warrior Nun from the scrapheap, although that’s not going to deter the Halo Bearers in the slightest. As for whether or not it ends with Alba Baptista’s Ava Silva living to fight another day? We’ll just have to wait and see, because you can guarantee that the fandom isn’t going to quieten down.
