First Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp Images Are Hilarious

Blessed be Netflix, for bringing back beloved sitcom Arrested Development, slow-burn drama The Killing and now cult comedy Wet Hot American Summer. This summer, the streaming service will air eight-episode series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, which brings the gang back together for a prequel to David Wain’s delectably dirty, star-studded pic.

The first images from the series feature the likes of Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Banks, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Nina Helman, Zak Orth, Michael Showalter, Christopher Meloni, Molly Shannon, Judah Friedlander, Marguerite Moreau and Paul Rudd. In other words, get out of the way, Entourage – this is the most stacked cast of the (wet, hot) summer season.

Taking place two months before the movie (which followed the last day of camp), the series actually arrives a staggering 14 years after Wain’s original. But age accuracy was never a priority for anyone involved, given that most of the actors who have been summoned to star are playing teenagers packed off to a summer camp. In addition to the aforementioned cast members, First Day of Camp‘s ensemble includes H. Jon Benjamin, Michael Ian Black, Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, AD Miles, Marisa Ryan, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig and Chris Pine.

Netflix drops all eight episodes of Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp on July 31.
