Fear the Walking Dead is officially back for round eight, with the first of this new season’s 12 confirmed episodes having aired just yesterday, and with Morgan and Madison blindfolded and bound for P.A.D.R.E. after a close call with a hostile posse, the stakes look to be inflating in a big way.
Of course, they’re not the only ones familiar with hefty treks of varying visibility; indeed, the entire Fear the Walking Dead cast and crew have been darting all over the continent in order to bring us our sweet post-apocalyptic content for the last eight years, but just where have they gone to accomplish this particular task? Here’s all the filming locations for Fear the Walking Dead.
Season 1
The pilot episode of Fear the Walking Dead was filmed in Los Angeles, California, with one of the most prominent sites being Woodrow Wilson High School in the community of El Sereno. The remainder of season one was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Season 2
Filming for season 2 largely took place in Baja California, Mexico, most notably in the city of Rosarito and the Valle de Guadalupe, while an additional scene from the season 1 finale took the crew back to Los Angeles for a split second.
Season 3
The team remained in Baja California for season 3, also branching out to Mexico’s Tijuana municipality to shoot on such locations as tourist center Avenida Revolución, and the Abelardo L. Rodríguez Dam on the Tijuana River.
Season 4
Austin, Texas was the site of season 4’s filming efforts, offering the team such sites as the Dell Diamond baseball stadium (which houses the real-life Triple-A Minor League Baseball team Round Rock Express), and the neighborhood of Onion Creek.
Seasons 5, 6, and 7
Season 5 saw the team go just up the road to New Braunfels, Texas, and they would go on to remain in-state through seasons 6 and 7.
Season 8
The eighth, most recent, and confirmed final season was filmed in Savannah, Georgia.
