Full of teenage drama, the struggles of surviving in the wilderness, and a lot of death, Yellowjackets is one of the best original shows on TV right now. Since its debut in 2021, the series quickly became a hit among thrill-seeking audiences, exploring the complex relationships between its almost all-female cast, bound together as a soccer team, but most importantly, by the macabre experiences they face after a tragic plane crash.
Despite how good Yellowjackets is, it certainly is not meant to be watched by the faint of heart (or weak of stomach). The show is brutal and depicts some hair-raising moments that can leave some viewers feeling just as confused as its characters, wondering what aspects of it are supernatural in nature, and which are the result of the characters’ mental illnesses. That said, folks cannot get enough of it, and as time goes on, more and more people want to jump on the wild ride that is this series.
Unfortunately, Showtime exclusively holds the rights to Yellowjackets, meaning that those who can’t watch it on the cable network, can find it difficult to search for other ways to feast their eyes. Luckily, there are a few streaming alternatives.
How to watch Yellowjackets on streaming
Yellowjacket fans stream the show via the app Showtime Anytime, for $10.99/month or $99/year. Another option is to acquire Showtime as a bundle with other streaming platforms’ plans, like Paramount Plus, Hulu, Apple TV, and Prime Video.
Hulu subscribers can get the Showtime premium add-on with a seven-day free trial, but when that period is over, they’ll have to pay $10.99 per month to continue enjoying the service. To get Paramount Plus with Showtime, streaming aficionados can start a free trial that lasts seven days, and after, pay $11.99 monthly. Apple TV, however, offers a month of free streaming for those who subscribe to Showtime on the Apple TV app, and only after the time runs out do viewers have to start paying $10.99 for it. Last but not least, those with a Prime Video membership can get a seven-day free trial of Showtime as an add-on to their already existing plan, which will be automatically changed to a $10.99/month subscription when the trial comes to an end.
With all these streaming options available, there’s no excuse not to dive into Yellowjackets right away. Two seasons of the show have already been released, and a third one is on the way, despite the bump in the road caused by the writers’ strike.
