Amazon Studios’ Good Omens won over fans and critics when it hit the Prime Video streaming service back in 2019. From Amazon’s decision to include the source material’s co-author, Neil Gaiman, as an executive producer, to the inspired casting of David Tennant and Michael Sheen as the leads of the Prime Video series, it was clear that Amazon had made a litany of Amaz-ing choices. Hugo, Nebula, and Dragon awards were piled on Amazon’s adaptation of the 1990 fantasy novel.
Then, almost unbelievably, Amazon announced that a second season of Good Omens was on the way. With no published source material this time around, followers of the Amazon series were initially hesitant, but still cautiously optimistic about the return of familiar faces. Prime Video released the six-episode sophomore season on July 28, 2023.
