With Tanner Courtad and Tyler Norris joining in episode three, John Buresh and John Henry Spurlock joining in episode four, and more, what does the rest of season 9 of Bachelor In Paradise entail?
For those who are unfamiliar, Bachelor in Paradise began in 2014, bringing together individuals from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette who may have not found love their first time around (or their second time around… or their third time around).
Meeting in Sayulita, Mexico, these Bachelor Nation members will to try to find their happily ever after in a completely different way than what they are used to. With some of the most iconic couples finding love with one another on the shores of Mexico, such as Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert, Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour, and more, Bachelor In Paradise‘s unconventional Love Island-esque format has proven itself to work!
On Bachelor In Paradise, individuals will couple up with one another rose ceremony after rose ceremony. With an uneven number of men and women at all times, those left without a partner at the end of each rose ceremony will be eliminated, leaving the beach as a single pringle.
While there seem to be some strong couples forming, such as Eliza Isichei and Aaron Bryant, Kylee Russell and Aven Jones, Jess Girod and Blake Moynes, and more, who are the hot new bombshells on deck for Bachelor In Paradise, and could they shake up the pairings?
While everything is mere speculation, keep scrolling to find out who’s rumored to be heading to the beach in the forthcoming weeks…
Samantha “Sam” Picco
We all remember the mystery woman walking down the stairs at the end of episode four of Bachelor In Paradise, ready to answer the prayers of Sean McLaughlin and save him from elimination… right?
Well, chances are this mystery woman is a fresh face named Sam Picco from season 2 of Bachelor In Paradise: Canada. Coming in with quite the reputation, this blonde bombshell is sure to make some waves!
While there is not much information out there about Sam herself, fans of Bachelor In Paradise: Canada have deemed her to be their “favorite Bachelor Nation contestant in years,” praising her for her “chaotic energy” during her time on the show.
“Apologies if there are spoilers in the comments, but dammit, Sam Picco is my favorite Bachelor Nation contestant in years,” @pellnell shared via Reddit. “I would hate to be around her IRL, but I have been living for her chaotic energy on BIP Canada. I am an episode behind right now, but the preview for the next one is chef’s kiss. I would love to see her on the beach in Mexico, running wild and simultaneously berating men for not being 100% committed while also making excuses for their behavior. Doubt I’ll ever watch her on Big Brother Canada, but I want her on every Bachelor Nation iteration.”
Fortunately, with the Canada native heading to the beach in episode five, @pellnell’s dreams are about to become a reality.
To top it all off, Sam was a contestant on season 7 of Big Brother: Canada as well. With two reality TV shows under her belt, as well as one on the way, she is sure to bring some top-notch entertainment… for better or for worse.
Davia Bunch
While the stunning Davia Bunch vied for the heart of Zach Shallcross on season 27 of The Bachelor, and was eliminated during episode four, she is about to get her second chance at love on the shores of Mexico.
Born and raised in Roebuck, South Carolina, “Davia is a bold and strong woman who is ready for Mr. Right! While Davia’s life hasn’t always been easy, she’s always persevered and is ready to receive the love she has given to so many others in her life. Davia loves dancing, listening to Lizzo and reading romance novels like The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Davia is ready for marriage, and wants it soon! “She is looking for an honest man who will prioritize their relationship above all else,” her official bio for The Bachelor reads, ultimately proving that she is as relatable as can be. Who doesn’t love a good Lizzo song?
Like Sam, the 26-year-old will also be arriving during episode five, ready to make a splash (no pun intended).
In the trailer, Davia is seen asking the hunky Tanner Courtad out on a date, despite currently being coupled up with the controversial Kat Izzo. When Tanner politely accepts, Hurricane Kat quickly brews a storm, paving the way for an episode jam-packed with drama — yikes!
Genevie Mayo
Also from Zach Shallcross’ season of The Bachelor, and also eliminated during episode four, Genevie Mayo is set to hit the beach sometime this season as well — she is truly “the full package!”
“Genevie is definitely the full package, with a smile that lights up every room she walks into,” her official bio for The Bachelor reads. “Not only is she a registered nurse, but she’s hoping to be CEO of a hospital one day. Boss moves! When she’s not working, Genevie loves reading Colleen Hoover books, playing sports and spending time with her family. The Maryland native is looking for a loyal and adventurous man and only dates to find the real deal. When Genevie loves, she loves hard and is looking for the right partner to settle down with.”
While it is unclear as to when the 27-year-old enters the competition, our fingers are crossed that Genevie is able to find Mr. Right during her Bachelor In Paradise journey.
You know what they say — second time’s a charm… right?
Taylor Pegg
Remember Taylor Pegg from Charity Lawson‘s season of The Bachelorette? We don’t either.
Eliminated in episode one, Taylor never got his time to shine within Bachelor Nation, however, based on his official bio for The Bachelorette, it looks like he might be a diamond in the rough.
The bio reads, “Taylor’s got class clown energy. This endearing, self-described goofball is going to give everything he’s got for love. As a partner, Taylor is a trusting guy who has confidence he’ll find the right person someday. Even though he may not always go above and beyond with romantic gestures, Taylor will surprise his partner with breakfast in bed or a cup of coffee before she wakes up. After work, he can be found taking his miniature schnauzer, Alfred, for a walk” — how cute is that?
While he may not be remembered from his time on The Bachelorette, just like Peter Cappio, Bachelor In Paradise may be the 32-year-old’s perfect opportunity to get the recognition he deserves (as well as true love).
Michael Barbour
With his adorable dimples and top-notch sense of humor, how could you forget about Michael Barbour from Charity Lawson’s season of The Bachelorette?
Eliminated in episode four, “Michael is ready to set sail on his journey for love” for the second time, this time on Bachelor In Paradise.
According to his official bio for The Bachelorette, “This yacht captain considers himself a romantic who puts time into the little things, often showering his partner with sentimental gifts. He believes if a woman feels safe and taken care of, the energy will be reciprocated tenfold. Although he grew up an only child, this Chicago-based charmer is also very family oriented and wants to have a big family someday. When he’s not working on his yacht, he’s spending time with his beloved grandfather in the off season.”
Given the fact that Michael is a barrel of fun, we know that he is about to have a blast on the shores of Mexico.
Will the 29-year-old meet the love of his life along the way? We will just have to wait and see!
Jordan Vandergriff
Last but certainly not least, the handsome Jordan Vandergriff from Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey‘s season of The Bachelorette hitting the beach is sure to ruffle some feathers.
“When this professional race car driver isn’t on the track going from 0 to 337mph in less than four seconds (yes, you read that right), he loves spending time with his nephews, relaxing on the lake and watching James Bond movies. Jordan is looking for someone who is sincere, passionate and supportive, and while he loves the hustle and bustle of his fun life, Jordan is very much looking to settle and start a family. This time next year, he’s hoping when he crosses the finish line, his future wife is there waiting for him,” his official bio for The Bachelorette reads.
To jog your memory, Jordan was eliminated on a one-on-one date with Rachel on The Bachelorette, however, this is not the end of their love story…
Within the first 40 seconds of the trailer for Bachelor In Paradise season 9, we see Rachel share a passionate kiss with the 28-year-old. “This is crazy, getting a second chance. I think things happen for a reason,” Rachel gushed after locking lips with Jordan — how wild is that?
Despite the missing a spark when they dated last year, it looks like this flame may have finally ignited on the beach. Jordan could be the one that got away!
Until these hot new bombshells arrive, pour yourself a margarita and tune into new episodes of Bachelor in Paradise every Thursday at 9pm ET/8pm CT on ABC, with new episodes available to stream on Hulu the next day.
