Justin Bieber has faded immensely from the spotlight in the years since the young singer first rose to fame.
Back in the early 2010s, Bieber was one of the biggest stars in the world. One of his first-ever songs, “Baby,” became a worldwide phenomenon, topping charts and remaining, to this day, one of the highest certified U.S. singles of all time.
Bieber’s popularity took a major hit in the mid-2010s when he was just reaching young adulthood. He was involved in several controversies and legal issues, and a petition to see him deported from the U.S. even reached the White House before being dismissed by former president Barack Obama.
Despite several arrests and a number of heavily criticized actions, Bieber remains one of the best-selling musical artists in history. He’s sold more than 150 million records, won numerous awards, and three of his singles — “Baby,” “Sorry,” and “Despacito” — are Diamond Certified.
Bieber’s on-again-off-again relationship with Selena Gomez made constant headlines between 2010 and 2018 and remains one of the main relationships that people think of when Bieber comes to mind. The famous pair’s relationship woes were a common topic of conversation through much of the 2010s and led to many assumptions that Bieber never moved on romantically from Gomez.
These assumptions are inaccurate, as it turns out. Bieber did move on from Gomez following their final split in early 2018, dating and eventually marrying model Hailey Baldwin.

Her surname is Bieber now, but you may recognize Hailey’s original last name. She was born to the youngest of the Baldwin brothers, Stephen Baldwin, and shared a last name with her famous family until her marriage to Bieber in 2018. Hailey’s famous uncles, along with her father, are well-known in Hollywood for their broad acting talent.
Hailey didn’t rise to fame entirely through her famous connections, however. She is a relatively well-known model and media personality herself, modeling for Vogue and Ralph Lauren long before she married Bieber. She’s also hosted a number of television programs over the years and collaborated with several fashion brands to release her own specified lines and collections.
Long before she was recognized as Bieber’s wife — and even before she’d arrived in public awareness as a Baldwin — Hailey was working toward her goals. She spent much of her childhood working toward a dream of becoming a professional ballet dancer, but was ultimately forced to abandon this dream following an injury.
The first year of Hailey’s marriage to Bieber was difficult, according to a 2021 interview between the 25-year-old and Elle. She noted, while talking with her interviewer, that life has gotten easier as the duo work their way toward four years of marriage. Quarantine helped somewhat with this, apparently, as it allowed the pair to enjoy one another’s company for longer-than-usual stretches of time. They seem to be thriving as a couple, with Bieber releasing several popular tracks during their marriage and his wife securing a number of lucrative modeling gigs.
Marriage seems to suit these two.
