Becoming a Jeopardy champion is no easy task, but there’s one yearly tournament that proves the game’s true ruler and that is Jeopardy! Masters.
Assembling six of the show’s most accomplished champions, Masters puts them head-to-head with only one able to emerge victorious each year.
If you’ve not been following along closely or simply want a reminder now that things have kicked off, here is everything you need to know about who you’ll see on Jeopardy! Masters in 2023.
Who will be competing on Jeopardy! Masters?
All of the contestants playing in Jeopardy! Masters as you’d expect have a history with the game prior. In fact, all most every single one of them has competed in past seasons.
Here is a look at all of the contestants you’ll see in 2023:
- Matt Amodio
- Sam Buttrey
- James Holzhauer
- Andrew He
- Mattea Roach
- Amy Schneider
As mentioned before, you should be familiar with all of these names outside of Holzhauer who will be competing in Masters for the first time this year. The star joked about his addition to the repeating lineup on Twitter calling himself the show’s new supervillain.
Between these six contestants, they have won more than 100 games to qualify for the tournament, but it remains to be seen which one of them will take it all and emerge as champion.
If you plan on following along with all of the action, then you’ve got a busy May to look forward to. Starting on May 8, the games continue on the 9th, 10th, and 12th before breaking over the weekend. On the 15th things return followed by events on the 16th and 17th. Heading into the finals, the semifinals will take place on May 22 and 23rd before the finale on the 24th.
That’s a whole lot of Jeopardy! Masters to enjoy and it will all be available on ABC and Hulu.
