Everyone loves a good villain, and Disney is capitalizing on that by making sure that Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes has no shortage of them. The company has revealed that three major Marvel Comics Universe baddies will be making their way to the popular sandbox franchise.

If you are a fan of the various comic book adaptations that have hit cinemas over the past few years, you are most likely already well aware of who Loki and The Green Goblin are. The trickster brother of Norse god Thor, Loki was the main villain in The Avengers, while Norman Osbourne’s nightmarish alter-ego showed up in 2002’s Spider-Man.

Less familiar than those two, though, is Ronan the Accuser, who is the main villain in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy. A member of the Kree alien race, Ronan has gone toe-to-toe with some of the giants of the Marvel Universe, including the likes of the Fantastic Four and Iron Man.

All three villains will be included with their comic specific sets, with Loki included with The Avengers set, The Green Goblin with the Spider-Man set and Ronan with the recently announced Guardians of the Galaxy set.

While I’m happy to see that Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes will have some devious villains to choose from, I hope that Disney doesn’t only stick to characters that have been featured in films. Sure, there are several evil-doers who have appeared on the silver screen I wouldn’t mind seeing in the game (Red Skull, Mandarin), but there are a plethora of villains who haven’t made the jump yet as well to choose from.

Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes is scheduled to launch on September 23 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii U and Windows PC.
